Lot Details

Period Lisa Larson pottery figure from her 1962 “larson’s ungar” series. Translating to “larson’s kids” the series of six figures consisted of children in era-typical clothes. Made of chamotte stoneware this figure known as “kalle” is modelled wearing a cap designed by lisa’s fashion designer sister titti wrange. Others in the series included “johanna” named after lisa’s own daughter, “lotta” decorated with a striped or white sweater, susanna, pelle and malin. The series produced by Swedish studio Gustavsberg ran from 1962 until approximately 1980 with this example looking to have an earlier studio backstamp beneath as noted. It also carries Lisa’s individual “lisa l” mark, the word “Sweden” and the model name “kalle”. 185mm tall by 125mm wide by 68mm deep. 460gms. Excellent vintage order.
