Large vintage Scandinavian art glass “ikebana” freeform vessel by Michael bang for Holmegaard of Denmark. Finished in a deep emerald green with textured base. A thick walled, heavy example featuring an organic undulating inner cavity. Classic early 1970’s design striking on display. Measuring 295mm in diameter by 40mm high. Weighing 1.55kgs Offered in good vintage order with some surface wear present. No chips, cracks or bruising. Circa early 1970’s. Michael Bang (1942-2013) was the son of Jacob e. Bang, the studios head of design during the 1960’s at Holmegaard.
