Mid-century Federigo Fabbrini of Italy Drinks Pot and Beaker set. Finished in a beautiful matte charcoal glaze with a highly glazed contrasting coffee interior. Both pieces artist signed as shown. Classic mid-century minimalist styling and of superb quality. The pot measuring 190mm tall. Federigo Fabbrini was born in Arezzo in 1928. After studying architecture he gained experience at ceramic studios in Sesto Fiorentino, Montelupo Fiorentino and at Marcello Fantoni's laboratory in Florence. In 1958 he opened his own studio "Fabbrini Ceramiche", in the province of Florence, together with his wife Tina Aginari, and invited Nanni Valentini and Franco Bucci to work with him. From 1969 to 1973 he collaborated as a designer with the "Villeroy & Boch" studio, for which he created, among other things, the "Bomba" table furniture, now preserved at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, along with Franco Bucci. From 1973 onwards he returned to work in his studio in San Casciano. During his career he exhibited several times at exhibitions in Faenza, Gubbio and Ostend. His works have been exhibited in Franco Bucci's "Pesaro Laboratory" in Strada Romagna 145 in Pesaro. Federico Fabbrini died in Florence in 2007.
