Modernist abstract ceramic pitcher decorated in Picassoesque style. Featuring a highly stylized head with the grip of the jug cleverly doubling as one eye. Similar facial pattern to both sides of the jug. Decorated in bright yellow, blue, red and charcoal tones set against a crisp white background. Incised markings beneath showing a “d” with the number 4. Possibly an early DeSimone example from the Italian sculpture Giovanni DeSimone. 230mm tall by 150mm wide by 80mm deep. Excellent vintage order. circa mid century.
