Lot Details
Pair of Purbeck pottery textured Vases. Finished in various Autumnal tones. Banded decoration as shown. Probably from the hand of Robert Jefferson. Circa late 1960’s. Purbeck pottery was established in Westbourne, near Bournemouth, Dorset in the mid 1960’s by Robert Jefferson and Eddie Goodall, both formerly of Poole pottery. Jefferson pioneering Poole’s delphis range and Goodall being Poole’s chief thrower during the 1950’s. The studio produced a range of table and decorative studio-style stoneware’s. The company moved a few miles from Westbourne to Poole in Dorset in 1995.
