Mid-century pottery drinks service from the southern French region of Vallauris. Featuring one large pitcher housed within a wrought iron decorative frame with 6 matching oversized beakers. All presenting with a wonderful super frothy fat lava glaze in burnt orange and various charcoal tones. The six beakers hang from the metal frame as shown with the jug sitting within. Dating to the Picasso / Roger Capron era at Vallauris this is an important service of impressive size and quality. The pitcher itself measures 280mm tall by 220mm wide by 115mm deep and weighs 1.475kgs on its own. The beakers measure approximately 145mm tall apiece and weigh 500gms each. As a set combined this service weighs approximately 5kgs. Good vintage order. Minor glaze loss. Circa 1950’s Vallauris.
