Lot Details

Early Rosenthal of Germany porcelain wall charger by acclaimed Danish artist Bjorn Wiinblad. Signed on the lower front right in gold by wiinblad. Originating from the studio linie series “Scheherazade”….. Featuring the legendary queen and storyteller of one thousand and one nights. This charger is heavily gilded and features the image of Scheherazade in a stunning multicoloured dress. The iridescent image is spectacular, covering colours from a deep burgundy through green and gold. Fully signed to the rear with the Rosenthal studio marks along with a metal wall loop hanger. A large charger at 330mm in diameter by 30mm high. Excellent vintage. Circa 1970’s.
